Systems
Thermal fluid system designs for the extreme hot applications up to 700 deg F and cold applications down to -160 deg F and every set-point temperature in between.
Size ranges:
Portable packages with flows from 10 to
60 gallons per minute and 6 to 48 kW electric
immersion heaters.
Medium packages from 60 thru 200 gallons
per minute and 9 to 200 kW electric heaters
Large packages 200 gallons per minute and 100 kW electric heaters and up.
Standard pump designs are centrifugal type rated for the temperature range. For extreme temperatures, magnetic or seal-less pumps are employed.
NEMA 12/4, Class I Division 2 Group D, and Class I Division 1 Group D explosion proof electrical designs can be provided.
Fluid Selection
Every design starts with the proper thermal fluid selection and we have provided packages with fluids from all of the major engineered fluid manufacturers. Fluids must meet film temperature requirements for hot applications to prevent coking and carbonizing the fluid or freeze protection for cold applications to maintain turbulent flow for the optimum heat transfer coefficient.
Component Selection
All valves, pumps and piping designs are designed to prevent leaking over the life of the equipment. Component selections are based on functionality versus cost impact.
Standard medium temperature 500 deg F thermal fluid system with PID controller and no cooling to meet Class I Division 2 Group D area Classification.
Three Zone Ultra Low Temperature -160 deg F design Liquid Nitrogen Exchange System with Seal-less pumps and PLC control system.
